Ease of maintenance really describes the new EB2 Source. You can remove the top cover, crucible, and coil housing without removing the source from the chamber! Think of it, you don’t have to get the magnet regaussed like other guns. Which will mean more up time for you. (And more $$$$!) The magnet arms are not used for water passages and there are no water lines to get bumped or cracked on the coil housing brazement.

The EB2 comes in either a 4 pocket 7-40cc crucible or a 6 pocket 7-25cc crucible. A water-cooled cover plate and a hermetically sealed coil assembly with a ceramic plug

with Kapton leads are standard. (No more shorted terminals from plating.) We use a standard 270-degree emitter assembly.
